The Royal Mosque in the Kala district of Elbasan, according to historians, dates back to the 15th century. From an architectural point of view, this temple coincides with all the other royal mosques built by Sultan Bayezid II in Permet, Berat, Shkodra and Elbasan. The Royal Mosque is also mentioned in Evliya Celebi's essays, where he lists the size of the mosque, as well as its interior and style of plastering.
