The Mavrovo Tour, held in June, has become a traditional annual recreational event. It started in 2009 at the initiative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Municipality of Mavrovo and Rostuše and Mavrovo National Park in order to promote the natural beauties of Mavrovo National Park, especially the Mavrovo Lake and its surroundings, and to enable cycling and hiking enthusiasts to enjoy a day in nature.
