Mehmet Bey's Hospice, dating from the first half of the XIX century, has a full dwelling content and belongs to the "Paloši" family and is known as the Hospice (Konak) of Mehmet Bay. Located in the center of the city, this building presents an imressive monumental complex, together with the Painted Mosque, Čifte Hamam and the Paša's Bridge over the Škumbin River. The architecture of the civic dwellings in oriental style, materialized by the local craftmen, is part of the peoples activities. The residential function in the full sense of meeting the needs of residence, sleeping, eating, and other basic functions of citezenship.
