We begin our visit to the Berat Castle which is one of the largest historical monuments in the Balkans, a large fortress that overlooks the Osumi River. The castle is set up in a triangular shape and, if viewed from below, looks like part of a hill. The interior entrance tower is made of stone blocks, belonging to the Illyrian fortifications. The top of the hill is surrounded by a 24-tower outer suburban wall. Inside this castle are very interesting frescoes and about 14 churches that have made this castle quite popular. Mention here: The Church of Saint Triada, which belongs to the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 20th century. XIV. 2. Visit the Onufri Icon Museum. It is located in the Kala neighborhood and contains some of the most beautiful religious art icons 3. Once down the castle we visit the Ethnographic Museum, housed in a characteristic Ottoman-style house. On the first floor as in an exhibition are traditional dresses, tools used by jewelers and weavers. Upstairs are the bedrooms, the kitchen and the guest room, arranged in the traditional style. 4. It has the shape of a pyramid that mimics the silhouette of the hill, on top of which the castle is raised. Mangalem is the emblem of Berat, white houses seem to overlap one another, which is why Berat is called the "City of One on One Windows". 6. At the exit of Mangalem we pass to the Gorice district which is separated by the latter from the Osumi River.
